Der Reibahlenkörper ist geschlitzt, der Nenn-Ø kann durch Eindrehen der Stirnschraube bis ca. 1/100 vom Durchmesser vergrößert werden. Die Einstellung sollte mittels eines Lehrrings erfolgen. Es lassen sich viele gewünschte Passungen einstellen und Abnutzungen ausgleichen. Die Reibahlen sind auf das Nennmaß eingestellt. Das Nachlassen sollte wegen erhöhter Bruchgefahr unterbleiben. Die Ø 4 und 5 mm sind gerade genutet, ab Ø 6 mm spiralgenutet (Linksspirale 7°).
Anwendung: Für die Einzelfertigung oder Reparaturarbeiten bestens geeignet, nur zum reiben von Durchgangsbohrungen. Wegen des konischen Anschnittes und der Stirnschraube nicht zur Bearbeitung von Sacklöchern geeignet. Auch für Bohrungen mit unterbrochenem Schnitt geeignet. Besonders für Stahlwerkstoffe bis 500 N/mm² Festigkeit, z. B. allgemeine Baustähle, Stahlwerkstoffe bis 900 N/mm² Festigkeit wie Automatenstähle, Vergütungsstähle, Werkzeugstähle, Einsatzstähle, Gusswerkstoffe und NE-Metalle wie Aluminium, Messing, Kupfer und Bronzen verwendbar.
Hinweis: Die Handreibahle ist stoßempfindlich, daher sollten die Späne nicht ausgeklopft, sondern ausgelassen oder ausgewaschen werden.
